Six months later he bought his first 12inch (which he still plays), and a year later he played his first ever gig.
Edground is a journalist who writes about nu jazz, broken beat, brazilian, latin & afro beats, and house music as well. His summaries can be read at brazilian news paper www.valeparaibano.com.br. He also worked at brazilian website exclusive in eletronic music www.rraurl.com, he was collaborating with interviews with important djs as Marques Wyatt from Deep-LA, Mark Farina, DJ Pippi and Larry Heard aka Mr. Fingers.
In 2000, Edground started promoting underground parties in Taubaté, a city closer to São Paulo, the monthly FACES of House Music nights. His party finished in 2003 due to space. In 2004, Edground started a new project himself called Grooveland. The first part of it became a website www.grooveland.com.br, and a radio show at Radio Kiss FM 101,1 in Taubaté.
Groove da Kiss is weekly radio show hosted by Edground every Sunday, 7-9 PM Eastern featuring new black music with old school like nu jazz and house music, funk and R&B, brazilian grooves and broken beat, disco and afrobeats.
