The gem of Denver, DJ Darrell Foxx a/k/a DJ Foxx is a DJ/Producer and co-founder of Casa Del Soul who has been a staple of dance music in Denver for over 10 years. Originally from Chicago, his style developed under the tutelage of Mike “Hitman” Wilson (WBMX radio). DJ Foxx’s musical style is grounded in broad knowledge of disco, funk, gospel, and house music. Playing Tech House, House and Deep House, he has been resident DJ in a number of clubs including The Church, Vinyl, and Lotus. He is currently a five-year resident at Denver’s hottest afterhours club, 2 AM.
DJ Foxx has DJ’d with the likes of Deep Dish, Craig Richards, Fat Boy Slim, Bad Boy Bill, DJ Dan, Eric Morillo, Doc Marten, Roger Sanchez, Derrick Carter, and David Morales in cities as diverse as New York, Chicago, LA, San Francisco, Boston, and Puerto Rico. His DJ sets have been legendary and his mixing style has been quoted as being “technically brilliant.”
Darrell Foxx also has a number of production credits to his name. Under the aliases Rhythmcentric and DJ Foxx, he has produced several hit tracks including “You Don’t Have to Worry” (Tazmania Records), “New School Fusion” (Look at You Records), "Portuguese Dreams" (Vibernt Records), and “Cold World” (Casa Del Soul Records). Cold World was featured on the Tyrant album and mix CD by Craig Richards and Lee Burridge. The song “Come to Me” was a top pop track in South Africa.
A master of sound and a master of his craft, Darrell Foxx is a name you’ll want to remember and once you see him perform, someone you won’t forget.
