Vie For BMA Golden Mic Award
When it comes to a showcase of stars and talent, the BMA's rock the house. "One year ago George Clinton and Flavor Flav turned it out, last year we did a tribute Marvin Gaye, and this year we have a big surprise that is sure to stir up it up a bit," said Rick Warren, president of the BMA. The best that entertainment has to offer has been nominated by record labels, radio stations, promoters and fellow entertainers. Over 200 nominees will walk the red carpet into the Wilshire Ebell Theater where they will enjoy an evening of elegance and entertainment, while waiting for their name to be called. With over 8 years in marketing, event planning, and artist management experience, this entrepreneur has definitely left a footmark, his own personal footprint in both the music and fashion industry. At the young age of 17 years old, he began promoting electronic dance party events and nightclubs throughout Albuquerque, NM, when he came in contact with Dj Essex of Krazy Kidd productions. Ben began working on assisting Krazy Kidd Productions in production and event promotion for there events. In 2001, over a year and a half in the making, Bens dream of hosting a massive event finally came full throttle, as over 3000 clubbers visited the themed event "Japanimajination" feat.Kimball Collins, Thomas Michael, and Gyrate.
Over the next year, Ben decided to leave New Mexico behind to move forward in the industry being introduced to close friend Dj Tranzit. Between these two and there skill in networking, they were unstoppable, making massive imprints in the Arizona house scene over the next 4 years, working with and learning from Djs like Senbad, Pete "Supermix" Salaz, and meeting some of Arizonas heavy hitting promoters like EventVibe or Jas Tynan, co founder of KIND Fridays at Freedom Nightclub. During this time Ben also spent time working on both artist management and tour coordination, working with bands Forget McCarran, introducing them to producer Sal Villanueva who produced Taking Back Sundays "Tell All Your Friends" album, selling over 500,000 copies on Victory Records. Recent projects include Anias, who recently played for MTV's My Super Sweet 16 in Ft Worth, Dont Die Cindy, with current release "Shades Of Grey", and also in works on coordinating upcoming tour Corporate Punishment Records feat. Ghost Machine, Rikets, Geffen recording artist Depswa, and SixStitch. Benjamin joins JSA to assist in the expansion in booking live acts of all genres of music! Look out for new headlining and emerging LIVE talent joining up with JSA soon!
